Chamundeshwari Temple is a historic Hindu temple dedicated to Goddess Chamundeshwari, a form of Goddess Durga. Located on the summit of Chamundi Hills overlooking Mysore, the temple has been an important religious and cultural landmark for centuries and was closely associated with the Wodeyar royal family of Mysore. The temple is known for its impressive seven-tiered Dravidian-style gopuram, religious significance, beautiful surroundings and panoramic views of Mysore city. The famous Nandi statue is located further down Chamundi Hill.
