Swaminarayan Akshardham is one of the largest and most magnificent Hindu temple complexes in the world. Inaugurated on 6 November 2005, the temple was built under the guidance of Pramukh Swami Maharaj by the BAPS Swaminarayan Sanstha. Spread across nearly 100 acres, the complex showcases traditional Indian architecture, spirituality, art, and culture. The main monument is intricately carved from pink sandstone and white marble without the use of steel. Visitors can explore beautifully sculpted pillars, domes, gardens, exhibitions, the Hall of Values, a giant-screen theatre, a cultural boat ride, and the spectacular Sahaj Anand Water Show held every evening. Akshardham attracts millions of visitors every year and is one of Delhi's most visited landmarks.
