Hauz Khas Fort is a historic medieval complex located in the Hauz Khas area of South Delhi. Built during the Delhi Sultanate in the 13th and 14th centuries, the complex was developed around the large Hauz Khas Lake, originally commissioned by Sultan Alauddin Khalji as a water reservoir for Siri Fort. Later, Sultan Firoz Shah Tughlaq added a madrasa (Islamic school), mosque, pavilions, and his own tomb, making it an important center of education and architecture. Today, the fort offers stunning views of the lake, lush greenery, and centuries-old monuments. Combined with the nearby Hauz Khas Village, known for its cafés, art galleries, and boutiques, it is one of Delhi's most popular heritage destinations.
