📖 About

Qutub Minar is the tallest brick minaret in the world and one of India's most celebrated historical monuments. Standing at a height of 72.5 meters (238 feet), it was commissioned by Qutb-ud-din Aibak in 1193 and completed by his successors. Constructed from red sandstone and marble, the five-storey tower features intricate carvings, Quranic inscriptions, and Indo-Islamic architectural elements. The Qutub Minar Complex is home to several significant structures, including the Quwwat-ul-Islam Mosque, the famous Iron Pillar, Alai Darwaza, and the unfinished Alai Minar. Recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1993, Qutub Minar attracts millions of visitors every year and is one of Delhi's most iconic landmarks.
