Rashtrapati Bhavan is the official residence of the President of India and one of the largest residences of any head of state in the world. Designed by the renowned British architect Sir Edwin Lutyens, it was completed in 1929 and originally served as the residence of the Viceroy of India. Spread across approximately 330 acres, the estate features the magnificent main building with over 340 rooms, the iconic central dome, ceremonial halls, museums, and the world-famous Amrit Udyan (formerly Mughal Gardens). The architectural style beautifully blends classical European and traditional Indian elements. Visitors can explore selected sections of the estate through guided tours and experience one of India's most significant architectural landmarks.
