Pangong Lake, also known as Pangong Tso, is a spectacular high-altitude brackish water lake in Ladakh at about 4,350 metres above sea level. The lake is famous for its striking blue colour, dramatic mountain surroundings and changing shades of water. About one-third of the lake lies in India and the remainder extends into Tibet. The lake is a major natural attraction of Ladakh and is especially popular for scenic views and photography.
