Orchha Fort Complex is a magnificent historic complex built by the Bundela Rajputs on an island in the Betwa River. The complex contains the impressive Raja Mahal, Jahangir Mahal and Sheesh Mahal, along with beautifully preserved courtyards, arches, murals and royal interiors. Raja Mahal is especially known for its historic wall paintings, while Jahangir Mahal showcases a striking combination of Mughal and Bundela architectural styles. Orchha's fort complex is one of the finest examples of medieval Bundela architecture in India.
