Katra Masjid is a historic former caravanserai, mosque and tomb in Murshidabad, West Bengal. Built between 1723 and 1724 by Nawab Murshid Quli Khan, it became an important religious and educational centre of the Nawabi capital. The massive brick complex is arranged around a large courtyard and is notable for its domed chambers, arched architecture and imposing corner towers. The tomb of Nawab Murshid Quli Khan lies beneath the entrance staircase. The monument was significantly damaged by the 1897 earthquake, but its surviving structures continue to reflect the architectural and historical importance of Murshidabad.
