Kakanmath Temple is an impressive 11th-century Shiva temple built during the Kachchhapaghata period and traditionally attributed to King Kirttiraja. The temple is renowned for its tall shikhara, intricate stone carvings and distinctive dry-masonry construction. It is an important example of medieval temple architecture in the Morena region.
