Gol Gumbaz is the magnificent mausoleum of Mohammed Adil Shah, the ruler of the Adil Shahi dynasty. Built in the 17th century, it is famous for its enormous dome, massive arches and remarkable Whispering Gallery, where even a soft sound can travel across the dome. The monument is an outstanding example of Deccan Indo-Islamic architecture.
