Dholavira is one of the largest and most remarkable archaeological sites of the Indus Valley Civilization. Located on Khadir Island in the Great Rann of Kutch, the ancient city is known for its sophisticated urban planning, massive stone structures, reservoirs, drainage systems, ceremonial areas and distinctive archaeological remains. The site provides important evidence of the advanced engineering, architecture and water-management systems of the Harappan civilization and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
