City Palace Udaipur is the largest royal palace complex in Rajasthan and one of India's most magnificent architectural masterpieces. Built in 1559 by Maharana Udai Singh II, the founder of Udaipur, the palace stands majestically on the eastern banks of Lake Pichola. Over the centuries, successive Maharanas expanded the complex, creating a harmonious blend of Rajput, Mughal, Medieval European, and Chinese architectural styles. The palace consists of numerous courtyards, balconies, towers, domes, museums, royal chambers, crystal galleries, and beautifully decorated halls. Visitors can enjoy breathtaking views of Lake Pichola, Jag Mandir, and the surrounding Aravalli Hills.
