Barabati Fort is a historic fort in Cuttack, Odisha, and an important reminder of the city's medieval military and administrative history. The fort was built in the historic capital region of Odisha and once contained a large palace complex. Today, visitors can see the surviving laterite gateway, defensive moat, earthen mound and archaeological remains of the former citadel. Located near the Mahanadi and Kathajodi rivers and adjacent to Barabati Stadium, the fort is one of Cuttack's most important heritage landmarks.
