Taj-ul-Masajid, meaning Crown Among Mosques, is one of India's largest mosques and one of Bhopal's most important architectural and religious landmarks. Construction was initiated by Shah Jahan Begum and later completed in the 20th century. The mosque is renowned for its enormous courtyard, pink sandstone faรงade, white domes, tall minarets and beautifully decorated prayer hall.
