Lake Pichola is one of India's most picturesque artificial lakes and the crown jewel of Udaipur, often called the "City of Lakes." Constructed in 1362 AD by Pichhu Banjara and later expanded by Maharana Udai Singh II, the lake spans approximately 4 square kilometers. Surrounded by the Aravalli Hills, grand palaces, temples, and ghats, it offers breathtaking views throughout the year. The lake is home to the iconic Lake Palace (Jag Niwas), Jag Mandir Palace, Mohan Mandir, and Arsi Vilas Island. Boat rides during sunset are among the most popular tourist activities, providing spectacular views of the City Palace and the surrounding landscape.
