Koshak Mahal is a historic palace in Chanderi built in 1445 CE by Sultan of Malwa Mahmood Shah Khilji. The impressive square monument was originally planned as a seven-storeyed structure, although only three complete storeys and part of the fourth survive. Its four interconnected sections, large arched gateways, vaulted passages and sandstone architecture make it an important example of Malwa Sultanate architecture.
