Jahaz Mahal is a magnificent 15th-century palace in Mandu, Madhya Pradesh, built during the reign of Sultan Ghiyasuddin Khilji. The palace stands on a narrow strip of land between Munj Talao and Kapur Talao, creating the appearance of a ship floating on water. Its elongated structure, terraces, pavilions, domes and courtyards make it one of Mandu's most distinctive examples of medieval architecture.
