Ibrahim Rauza is a magnificent 17th-century mausoleum and mosque complex in Vijayapura, Karnataka. Built during the reign of Ibrahim Adil Shah II, the complex contains the tomb of Ibrahim Adil Shah II and his queen Taj Sultana. Designed with remarkable symmetry, the monument is known for its elegant domes, slender minarets, intricate stone filigree, carved medallions, hanging stone chains and beautifully planned gardens. The mosque and mausoleum stand opposite each other on a raised stone terrace, creating one of the finest examples of Adil Shahi architecture. Often associated with the architectural tradition that later influenced Mughal monuments, Ibrahim Rauza is one of Vijayapura's most important heritage attractions.
